Professor of Orthopedics at the University of Murcia Fernando Santonja used during this course for their classes in the Faculty of Medicine technology of Google Glass, a display device type augmented reality glasses developed by the company of Mountain View.
The advantages of using this technology in medicine classes are many and varied, including the optimization of the teaching process, allowing the device that students have the same visual perspective that the teacher who performs scanning of the patient.
The teacher provides real-time interactive experiences to their students, they can follow virtual explorations of the human body, and even applying different treatments from the perspective of the teacher.
An additional advantage is that other medical schools learn different teaching methods for students of Degree, as is the case of the learning method based on case studies and practical skills.
