Under the slogan "People, city, being" Madrid yesterday and today hosted a conference on "Cities bike" which has revealed initiatives and actions undertaken in cities like Madrid, Barcelona, ​​London, New York or Paris on management and adaptation of public space, security, mobility and intermodality, among other topics.
Participants found the Mayor of Murcia and president of the Network of Cities for Cycling, Miguel Angel House, who has participated in a roundtable on the public bicycle.
In his opinion, "can be an important tool to promote their use, change their social image and start or deepen the transformation of urban space".
The presentations were used to analyze the different deployment strategies existing public bicycle for different contexts, with different models and different effects in cities and mobility behavior of citizens.
In this regard, the Chamber also recalled that, next April is operational in Murcia Muybici, municipal loan service that will release 600 have 1,200 bikes and anchor points.
