Representatives of Civil Engineering students from 16 Spanish universities are participating during the day today at the Second National Congress of Students for Technical Engineering and Civil Engineering Works hosting the Catholic University of Murcia, and already began yesterday with conference Dean of the College of Public Works Engineers and Civil Engineers of the Region of Murcia, Manuel Camacho.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by the Vice Chancellor of University Extension of the UCAM, Antonio Alcaraz;
the Dean of the Degree in Civil Engineering from the University, Pedro de los Santos Jimenez;
CEITOPIC president, Miguel Ángel Pérez, and the president of the College of Public Works Engineers and Civil Engineers, Paloma Gázquez, who has assured that have opened up new business fields for the Civil Engineer.
On infrastructure, Paloma Gázquez noted that still "in Spain has become much, much probably unnecessary, but much more needed to be done around the country."
It has also highlighted that the evolution of employment in this field is improving.
I Sectoral
Also during the day today, the University has hosted the sectoral meeting of directors and deputy directors of Civil Engineering Degrees from universities, both public and private, nationwide.
The Dean of the Degree in Civil Engineering UCAM, Pedro de Los Santos, stressed the importance of this meeting in which we have analyzed the prospects of civil engineering "that are good from a professional point of view," he insured.
Also, from an academic point of view has been stated that "we find certain nebulae, because, first changes of Bologna, and that this university was a pioneer in introducing the Degree in Spain, and second by the new 3 + 2" topics that have been discussed.
The ceremony was also attended by the secretary general of the Ministry of Education, Culture and Universities of WARC, Manuel Marcos Sánchez.
