VOS programming Centrofama, an initiative that has the support of the Classroom Film and Digital Culture at the University of Murcia, screened on Monday, March 9, the film "Timbuktu" a Mauritanian film directed by Abderrahmane Sissako and performed by Abel Jafri, Hichem Yacoubi, Kettly Noël, Pino Desperado.
The film won seven Cesar awards in 2014, including best film.
This is a story based on real events that occurred in the Malian city of Timbuktu.
In 2012, a young couple was brutally stoned hand of Islamists in the city of Aguelhok, north of Mali.
His crime: not being married and, in the eyes of their executioners, were committing a serious crime against God's law.
