The Unit for Equality between Women and Men of the University of Murcia has organized in the General Library, Campus Espinardo, an exhibition that runs through the participation and achievement of women in the hundred years of this institution.
The exhibition activity of the leading female personalities who have gone through the University of Murcia, as is the case of Maria Moliner, the first female professor at the institution (1924), or Clara Campoamor, that during 1922/1923 He made the transfer of enrollment as a student of law from the Faculty of Oviedo to Murcia.
The exhibition can also find documents such as the title of the first female graduate in the University of Murcia-charity Sánchez Ledesma, Law, 1927- or images of the student Maria Jover Carrión, who became the seventies in the first woman judge in Spain.
Framed within the week of International Women's Day and the centenary of the University, the exhibition is curated by Professor Carmen González and Concha Pando, an official of that unit, which directs the teacher Eva Maria Rubio.
The rector, José Orihuela, today opened the exhibition will be open at the Library until March 25.
