A doctoral thesis at the Faculty of Law of the University of Murcia has highlighted the disparity of views and unequal treatment offered to ministers of religion, religious and secular in terms of social protection thereof.
This research, in which the author, Francisco Ortiz Castillo, has been rated as outstanding cum laude, has been busy studying social protection that affects people who make or have made their activity dedication to religion in different faiths.
Among the conclusions, the thesis points out that in all groups analyzed incorporation in stages or "two-speed" and preferential treatment on some occasions and discriminatory including the clergy of the Catholic Church, is observed even within the same collective, because of its canonical assignment.
Differences also occur according to the confession of belonging, noting the author of the thesis poor technique in the regulatory process of incorporation.
As for the secular, the new doctor notes that the regulatory process is highly controversial, with very open legal standard and restricted regulatory development, with successive reforms in short spaces of time.
This research was led by Professor of the Faculty of Law and exdecano the same Faustino Cavas.
