Cyclists will integrate the Spanish team sporting the name of Murcia in testing championships in participating, as has been the case in recent seasons and whose collaboration began in 2008. The sponsorship affects the various national teams, male and female, in different categories, UCI Elite, U23 and Junior.
The new kit was presented this morning by the Mayor, Miguel Angel House, and the president of the Spanish Cycling Federation, José Luis López Cerrón, who were accompanied by Eloy Teruel -after his recent success in France, by Councillor Sports, Miguel Cascales, and the president of the Cycling Federation of the Region of Murcia, José López Tortosa.
Under the renewed commitment, the name of the city of Murcia is the official sponsor of the Royal Federation and its logo appears on the uniforms of the selections.
The City will provide 150,000 euros for each of the two seasons of the agreement.
Tribute to Eloy Teruel
This initiative will allow the name of Murcia look at the kits for all teams in all categories (UCI elite, U23 and junior, both male and female) and cycling modes and testing of the championships in Spain.
This has already happened in the recent UCI Track Cycling World Championships held in France, where Eloy Teruel Rovira won the silver medal in the test scoring race.
The Mayor, Miguel Angel House, has delivered a plaque on behalf of the city of Murcia as a tribute to the "brilliant success" of Murcia athlete.
