New Murcia Forum, a meeting place for discussion and ideas which have participated and 25 figures in public life of our country, held Friday morning ceremony for its annual awards.
David Cal, sportsman of the Catholic University San Antonio de Murcia and maximum Spanish Olympic medalist, will be one of the winners.
The Forum New Murcia and recognizes the career of canoeist, with a track record available to very few athletes: 5 medals in Olympic Games, five medals at World Championships and five medals at European Championships.
It will therefore be a perfect occasion to meet the fitness of the Galician canoeist, as you will be making a break from his training in Brazil for the next Olympic Games, and for how facing the pre-Olympic year whose ultimate goal be between the first six World Championship and earn a direct place for Rio 2016.
The gala New Murcia Forum, held in Agalia Hotel (formerly Novotel) at 19:30, will be a memorial to Mari Trini, caravaqueña singer died in 2009, and will have, besides the canoeist David Cal, numerous winners renowned: the doctors Pedro Luis Ripoll and Mariano de Prado;
the regional director of El Corte Ingles José Dasí;
social service organizations Caritas, Proyecto Hombre, Fundown, Cermi and Cepaim;
Hefame companies, Logista and JR Sabater;
and the team of archaeologists 'Port of Cultures'.
