The University of Murcia held this week a volunteer days where psychoeducational program model in which college students share housing with young people with intellectual disabilities was analyzed.
The sessions, which were closed by the rector of the University, José Orihuela, and the president of the Down Syndrome Foundation Murcia (Fundown), Diego González, with the participation of program users who reported their experience of living together.
Fundown takes fifteen years developing this project aimed to achieve the greatest degree of autonomy and independence to the group of people with intellectual disabilities training model.
The conference was organized by the Service to Diversity and Vice President for Student Volunteer, Quality and Equality, directed by Professor Miguel Angel Perez.
