The University of Murcia assist in the recovery and conservation of folklore and traditional Spanish culture, according to the agreement signed with the Federation of Songs and Dances (FACYDE).
Collaboration is developed through the National Documentation Centre of the Federation, located in Cieza, which has more than 5,000 monographs, journals, documents and audiovisual materials related to music, dance and traditions.
The agreement was signed in the building of convalescence by the rector, José Orihuela, and FACYDE president, José Serrano, in a ceremony also attended by the secretary general of the University, Santiago Álvarez;
Vice Chancellor for Communication and Culture, José Antonio Gómez, and the promoter of the agreement, Professor Conrado Navalón.
