The general director of Educational Quality, Innovation and Attention to Diversity, Begoņa Iniesta, closed this morning the fifth edition of the Week Health Education Graduate Institute of Secondary Education Francisco Cascales, one of the 424 centers in the Region which is implemented the Plan of Education for School Health, the Ministry of Education, Culture and Universities and the Ministry of Health and Social Policy.
During the ceremony, Begoņa Iniesta recalled that the objective of this plan is to enhance and promote the acquisition of healthy lifestyles from school age.
In this regard, he stressed that "thanks to this program, schools collaborate in developing healthy habits that contribute to the physical, as well as affective and emotional balance."
The 'Plan for Health Education in School' was launched in the year 2006/2007, and have since been assigned a total of 424 schools, a figure that represents 69 percent of colleges and institutes the Region.
Throughout the week, students and teachers of IES Bachelor Cascales have participated in organized activities within the Week Health Education as a photographic exhibition, a race to encourage the practice of sport and active leisure or celebrating in the center of a healthy breakfast, as well as conferences and workshops on healthy cooking, eating disorders, first aid or smoking prevention.
