On Tuesday at 17:30 Juan Carlos Ferrero, Joel González, Manuel Martinez and Miguel Ángel López participate in a roundtable

The Catholic University San Antonio and the Spanish Olympic Committee organized the XLVII Meeting of the Spanish Olympic Academy to be held at the Monastery of Jeronimos Monday 16 to Wednesday 18. José Luis Mendoza, president of the UCAM;

Alejandro Blanco, Spanish Olympic Committee president;

Conrado Durántez, president of the Spanish Olympic Academy;

Pato and Antonio Sánchez, dean of the Faculty of Sport, will be responsible for opening these days.

After the opening, we will proceed to hoisting of the Olympic flag on campus with the performance of the Symphony Orchestra of the UCAM to play the Olympic Hymn.

Then will begin the various conferences in the temple of the Monastery of Jeronimos;

which opens the conference will be borne by Alejandro Blanco and is entitled 'Olympism'.

The importance of integration of Olympic sport in education or sports results of the Spanish Olympic team throughout its history are some of the main themes of the first day.

In addition, an iconographic exhibition on Pierre de Coubertin, father of the modern Olympic Games, in the cloister of the University will be displayed.

On the figure of Coubertin, María Eugenia Martínez Gorroño host a conference: Pierre de Coubertin: sport as an educational resource.

The second and third day of the congress lectures take place in the auditorium of the UCAM.

In this conference will discuss, among other topics, Olympism in film or the Olympic values.

There will also be a panel discussion entitled 'Olympians' on Tuesday at 17:30 with the participation of: Juan Carlos Ferrero, former tennis player and Olympic diploma in Sydney 2000;

Miguel Angel Lopez, athlete and Olympic diploma in London 2012;

Joel Gonzalez, taekwondo Olympic champion and London 2012;

and Manuel Martinez, former shot putter and bronze in Athens 2004. The closing ceremony will take place on Wednesday at 17:15 pm in the auditorium.
