During these days Almudí Palace hosts the exhibition 'Histoire des hommes volants' artist Lidó Rico Murcia (Yecla, 1968).
Anyone who wants to know his work is Friday the unique opportunity to do it the artist's hand.
The tour will be at 19:30 in the Hall of Columns.
His work will be on display in the Almudí until next March 1st.
The exhibition consists of 54 works made since 1994 to the present, in which the artist combines different techniques (wax sculpture, glass, collage, mixed media on wood, digital imaging and polyester resin).
Some of these works are 'Back' (1998; polyester resin), 'Turbulence' (2014, mixed media on wood), 'Palantes' (2015; polyester resin and canvas on wood) or 'tightrope' (2015; aluminum ).
Those attending the shows may charge sculptures and sketches made following a very particular creative work, in which the body is not only an icon, but a means.
Lidó Rico uses his own body as the iconic material from their creations.
Because of this their work is considered a permanent reproduction of their corporeal forms, which used to express looks of pain and anguish that represent the modern man of today.
Lidó Rico has won several awards throughout his career, most notably the first Young Murcia Painting Prize and Honorable Mention at the Sixth Biennial of Drawing held in Györ (Hungary).
Being chosen for the outdoor sculpture Murcia Pavilion at the World Expo in Seville and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs trust him to represent Spain at the XXIII Biennale of Alexandria, are other recognition of his career.
It Lido also received the Grand Prize awarded this Biennial, held in Egypt in 2015.
