The University of Murcia has managed scholarships for a total of 41 students from Italy and can perform master studies at this institution through the agreement to be entered into the Campus Mare Nostrum and INPS, an organ of that country's equivalent to the National Institute Social Security in Spain, and has been approved by the Governing Council.
During the meeting, the building of convalescence, the Vice Chancellor for Coordination and Internationalisation, Bernardo Cascales, explained the content of the agreement, which states that the aforementioned Italian agency will provide about 10,000 euros per student, with whom the cost of enrollment in the master chosen, the participation of those courses at the Universidad Internacional del Mar, language courses and other activities will be addressed.
Cascales has highlighted the ongoing success of this collaboration, as it has gone from two grants that were counted in 2011-2012 to 41 of the current year.
Moreover, the Governing Council has approved also almost hundred and fifty educational cooperation agreements for the experiments of students in different companies, which were proposed by the Department for Transfer, Entrepreneurship and Employment, which leads the teacher Francisca Thomas.
Thomas has also reviewed the participation of the University of Murcia in Yuzz program promoted by Banco Santander, which has highlighted the training offered for free.
The rector of the University, José Orihuela, referred in his report to the satisfaction of the institution has been the appointment of Professor of Veterinary Juan María Vázquez as secretary general of Universities.
At another point, Orihuela explained conversations held with the Ministry of Health on the practices of medical students in public hospitals and added that it will produce a report of the situation that will be transferred to the counselor.
As the defendant multi-year funding, the rector reported that the Ministry of Education, Culture and Universities has already requested some data that have been provided, and that the issue will be addressed by a commission which will include the vice chancellors Coordination and Infrastructure, José María Bernardo Cascales and Abellán, respectively, and the manager, Francisco Perez Guzman.
