Professor of Communication Studies at the University of Murcia María del Mar Grandío part of the Spanish team that collaborates in the research project Hobbit World Project.
In it, 150 researchers from 47 countries discussed the keys to the film trilogy "The Hobbit" to unravel what fantasy film to the public means.
The study, funded by the British Academy for the Humanities, collected from the premiere of the final film in the trilogy, last December 17, more than 30,000 spectators surveys film.
It is, according to Grandío teacher, the "research project on audiences and most ambitious fan phenomenon in history."
