The spokesman and socialist candidate for mayor of Murcia, Pedro López, will conduct a full review of public transport and a new map for more rational lines, implement lanes for buses to certain areas of the municipality and modify the current system of funding .
Among the first steps that Lopez will take to give a strong boost to public transport include the implementation of a wallet card that allows users to pay a maximum of 0.60 euro cents per trip around the town, the implementation of transfers free for two hours and a single ticket whose price does not exceed the euro throughout the municipality.
It continues the Socialist candidate, this wallet card will allow the most common users can expect to pay a minimum of 20 cents per trip.
"It's a way to reclaim that make frequent use of public transport citizens," says Lopez, who explains that after a certain number of trips, the ticket price begins to decrease to the minimum stated above.
Finally, López highlights the urgent need to carry out a complete reorganization of the public transport system in Murcia, a new map of lines with a new funding system, non-discriminatory, as the present;
and with a more modern and efficient operation.
