Anyone interested in knowing the work Lidó Rico Murcia (Yecla, 1968) has a unique opportunity this Friday at 19:30 to meet her by the hand of the artist himself, as it will offer a tour in which he will show his exhibition Histoire des hommes volants', which will be present at the Palace of Almudí until March 1.
It may see 54 works made since 1994 to the present (wax sculpture, glass, collage, mixed media on wood, digital imaging and polyester resin).
Some of these works are 'Back' (1998; polyester resin), 'Turbulence' (2014, mixed media on wood), 'Palantes' (2015; polyester resin and canvas on wood) or 'tightrope' (2015; aluminum ).
Anyone visiting the exhibition will perceive sculptures and sketches made by a particular creative work, in which the body is used not only as an icon, but also as a medium.
In fact, his own body is the iconic material from their creations when you use it as a template and can say that, from this point of view, his work is considered a permanent reproduction of their corporeal forms, which used to express looks of pain and anguish that represent the modern man of today.
Lidó Rico has received many awards throughout his career, among which the first prize Young Murcia Painting, their selection for the outdoor sculpture Murcia Pavilion at the World Expo in Seville, his mention of Honor in Drawing VI Biennial held in the city of Györ in Hungary or selection in 2005 by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to represent Spain at the XXIII Biennale of Alexandria in Egypt, where he was awarded the Grand Prix.
