Murcia celebrates the First Annual Conference of AEESMUR, the newly created Ankylosing Spondylitis Association of Murcia, which will be held on January 24 Orenes Salons in Llano de Brujas, with support from the City of Murcia.
The association organizes Aeesmur Sick Day for Ankylosing Spondylitis to publicize this group and provide information to patients and families.
On the Saturday they address issues of interest such as psychology, disability, sexuality and overcoming the challenge posed by the disease.
Established last 2014 by a group of patients University Hospital Virgen de la Arrixaca, AEESMUR has among its objectives support and advise patients - about 10,000 people are suffering from this rheumatic disease in the Region of Murcia-and their families and raise public awareness of this debilitating disease that requires those affected to live with pain throughout his life.

Associations' which will give Pedro Plazuelo, president of the Spanish Coordinator of Associations of spondylitis (CEADE), and 'Your illness as a driver of a challenge to overcome', in which James Parages, patient spondylitis, will chronicle their journey by swimming from Tarifa (Cadiz) to Morocco to benefit the Down Syndrome Foundation of Madrid.
