The Gala of the Royal Spanish Athletics Federation, held this weekend at the headquarters of the Spanish Olympic Committee, retold with prominence of athletes from the Catholic University of Murcia.
The Spaniard Miguel Angel Lopez walker (European Champion 20 km walk) and the Cantabrian jumper Ruth Beitia (European champion high jump) repeated as best athletes of the year.
Both revalidan also won an award in 2012 and 2013.
They were not the only athletes who were awarded UCAM.
The walker Manuel Bermúdez (junior athlete), the shot putter Borja Vivas (second in Europe), the thrower Mario Pestano, long jumper Eusebio Cáceres and ultra-distance Cristina González (record Spain 100 km) were also recognized and received awards at a gala made clear the great 2014 by the athletes of the Catholic University of Murcia.
