The Civil Guard detained the owners of dogs that caused serious injuries to four persons (10/01/2015)

Those arrested, a young neighbor marriage in the area, are attributed authorship of the alleged offense of injury serious negligence

The Civil Guard in the region of Murcia has developed an investigation to clarify the circumstances surrounding the assault of two dogs potentially dangerous breeds several people in the hamlet of Murcia Sangonera la Seca, which has resulted in the arrest of two people to which are credited with authorship of the alleged crime of assault by gross negligence.

The investigation began last Thursday (08) when the Civil Guard became aware of the injuries sustained by four residents of the hamlet of Murcia Sangonera la Seca by the attack of two dogs in the street.

The victims were treated by emergency medical services because of the wounds caused by the bite of the dogs, whose gravity in two cases has required hospital admission to practice surgery.

One victim remains still entered in the Hospital Universitario Virgen de la Arrixaca of Murcia.

The investigations carried out by the Civil Guard, in cooperation with the local police in Murcia, have tested positive for the identification of animal owners a man and a woman, both 28 years old, married and residents of the town who are recorded in animal health cards, as holders, respectively, of each of the dogs that caused the injuries and also lack the documents proving legal ownership of potentially dangerous dog breeds.

The Civil Guard have arrested these two people who are credited with authorship of the alleged offense of gross negligence by failing to ensure the safety in the custody of the animals that caused the injuries have been released and available to the authority court.

Dogs have entered quarantine at the Municipal Center for Zoonosis of Murcia, located in the Albatalía, while they perform the appropriate veterinary examinations.

The detainees, the proceedings initiated and the dogs that caused the injuries have been made available to the Court of Instruction number seven of Murcia.
