The Mayor, Miguel Angel House, has expressed its rejection and condemnation of the attack suffered yesterday by the French satirical weekly Charlie Hebdo and participated minute of silence summoned to the doors of City Hall in mourning for the crime.

The Mayor wanted to convey from Murcia "our solidarity and support to the families" of the victims of the murders.

Beside House, attended the ceremony condemning other members of the Corporation, as well as the dean and vice dean of the College of Journalists of the Region of Murcia, Juan Antonio de Heras and Arturo Andreu, respectively.

Chamber noted that "under no circumstances" may be justified taking of human life and has appealed to "restore tolerance and coexistence among all."
