Educate, train, inform and disseminate the latest scientific evidence, current legislation and best practice manufacturing herbal compounds, in order to ensure the safety and nutritional quality of these, for the food industry and food supplements.
This is the objective of the European project 'Good plants' (Good Herbs / Integration of good practices and new methods for professional training in the field of herbs for food processing and food supplements) that is working the Catholic University of Murcia, next to other Spanish, Slovenian and Portuguese institutions, and which is led by the National Institute for Research and Development of Biological and Food Resources of Romania.
It is framed in the Erasmus + program for the promotion of development and innovation in education and training in Europe initiative.
Specifically, during the development of the program, among other aspects, training needs in the area of ​​the food specialization, either in use as aromatic spices and food processing, as ingredients for food or as dietary supplements will be evaluated.
Similarly, we will work on the development of a training program based on existing knowledge, entrenched on the experiences of the participants, from primary production, processing and marketing;
allowing educators to train professionals working in these areas.
