The redevelopment of the College of Education and Primary Juan XXIII, located in the Murcia area of ​​the Rane, are currently at the stage of foundation, so that the Ministry of Education, Culture and Universities Estimated to be finalized before the end of the current academic year and the new classrooms are fully operational for the 2015-2016 year.
This was confirmed today by the Minister of Education, Culture and Universities, Pedro Antonio Sánchez, during a visit in which he checked the status of the construction work of the four kindergarten classrooms and nine Elementary under the expansion project center.
"The project implemented under the schedule, so the new infrastructure demanded by the population growth in this area of ​​Murcia will be a reality before the end of the course," said Pedro Antonio Sánchez.
The works, representing a total investment of 1,084,014 euros, last November began.
The new units are being built on a plot of 11,562 square meters adjacent to the existing building and will have an area of ​​1,773 square meters.
In addition to the nine classrooms, the project includes two outdoor sports courts, multipurpose rooms, a library, offices for administration departments, toilets and storage areas.
The building, designed as a compact piece of asymmetrical composition has a volume of two plants visually connected with a garden center that will serve as a playground for kindergarten students.
Downstairs four kindergarten classrooms, library and multipurpose room, toilets and office and storage areas are distributed.
The first floor consists of the first cycle classrooms, nine classrooms and two more support, plus a toilet area, access from the core of communications and access to the fire escape.
One of the features of the design is its harmony with the environment, since the infrastructure is designed considering eco-efficiency criteria to ensure climate comfort in classrooms and enough natural light to the development of teaching.
"The expansion and constant improvement of our network of public schools is one way to ensure a quality education that meets our '+ Educational Quality + School Success strategy," said Pedro Antonio Sánchez.
