José Ignacio Tornel Councilman IU-Greens in the city of Murcia, announced today at a press conference which will be presented as head of list to open primary process carried out training to attend the Mayors office in elections next May.
"I made this decision because many people inside and outside the organization have asked me to do it", has argued Tornel, who has indicated that his candidacy serves to expand the possibilities of members and supporters to vote for the candidate time or candidate of their choice.
Tornel explained that there was to be presented and that makes "a personal capacity" with a campaign "already made" and follows the same political project that IU-Green has argued in the past four years on the City Council Murcia.
He insisted that "any type of competition" with other candidates "would be impossible" because it is the same project.
"I'm not going to fly a different flag and I am in the service of the organization, because I believe that IU-Green is the most effective way to win this county Murcia and transform tool," he noted.
BA in French from the University of Murcia (UMU), acting professor of French and mayor of IU-Greens since 2011, Tornel is affiliated with CCOO and is very committed to social movements in the neighborhood of La Paz, where he was born 50 years ago .
The electronic voting, open to members and supporters, will begin next January 7 and voting urn, and the proclamation of the candidate, will take place on 17th of that month.
