The Mobile Emergency Service and Social Care (Semas) of the Department of Social Welfare and Health of the City of Murcia, last night attended a total of nine people, seven men and two women, from the cold.
In terms of nationality, six are Romanian, a Spanish person, one German and one in Hungary.
Yesterday was the first exit in the campaign of night care for low temperatures, which is activated when the thermometers mark less than 5 degrees.
The team, consisting of a social worker and a local police officer, toured various areas like downtown, Gran Vía, Silverware, Tatters, El Carmen, Floridablanca and bus station (San Andres), Santa Maria de Gracia, the Rane San Basilio and Fleet.
According to needs, two sleeping bags and two blankets were distributed.
All persons attended was informed of existing municipal resources.
