The two public universities in the region of Murcia have created a sports tournament that annually compete champions Rector of each of these institutions Trophy.
The competition, which is part of the Campus of International Excellence Mare Nostrum, aims to promote sport and healthy quality of life among college groups, and contribute to the integral formation of students.
The final phase of the championship in common, comprising 14 sports and 31 sports disciplines, will be held in the second half of May (each issue at a university), once completed domestic tournaments.
Its presentation was held today in the office of rector of the University of Murcia, José Orihuela, an event which was attended by the Rector of the Polytechnic University of Cartagena, Jose Antonio Franco, and other academic authorities of both institutions.
During the course of the event, guiding their thanks to the directors of their respective services Sports Activities, Aurelio Olmedilla (University of Murcia) and Ricardo Ibáñez (UPCT), for an initiative that encourages, through sport, personal values ​​among students.
