Specialists in the work of William Shakespeare, especially Romeo and Juleta analyze these days his influence on European culture within the international symposium held in the Lecture Hall of Merced.
During the meeting, which runs until tomorrow, will be addressed such issues as the reception of these works in Europe, translations, adaptations and performances.
The symposium will examine the incidence in countries like Spain, France, Germany, Italy, Switzerland and Albania.
Participants are specialists Manfred Pfister (University of Berlin), Balz Engler (University of Basel, Switzerland) and Isabelle Schwartz-Gastine (University of Caen, France).
The director of the symposium is Professor at the University of Murcia Graham Keith.
