The University of Murcia has organized a series of activities to mark the feast of Saint Eligius, patron of the goldsmiths and that includes today a round table to be held in the Conference Hall of the Faculty of Arts and which will be addressed the situation silversmithing today and the possibilities of research.
The event, which will be moderated by Professor of Art History Jesus Rivas, who recovered the festival for several years, intervene also goldsmiths and silversmiths, along with the director of the Museum of the Cathedral of Murcia, Francisco Alegria, and the president of Brotherhood of Servite, Jesus Angel Lopez.
After performing a number of other activities, the biggest celebration will be November 27, the feast of St. Eloy, including a procession from the output on the Merced campus to the church of St. Bartholomew, which honors an image Pattern work housed.
