Archena Township will host from 20 to 22 November the X International Conference on Iberian monarchies, in which experts from twelve countries analyzed deportations, exiles and returns that have occurred in the Iberian world throughout history.
The director of the conference, Professor, University of Murcia Javier Ruiz Ibáñez, said today during the presentation, that this meeting, which was held earlier in places like Mexico, Brazil or Italy back to Region coinciding with the commemoration of the fourth centenary of the expulsion and the Return of Moriscos Ricote Valley.
"It's not about a few more days, as the place in Murcia highlight the value of some ordinary people of the Valley of Ricote 400 years ago risked their lives for their neighbors exiles, a fact of which we can draw an important lesson of solidarity for our times "stated Professor Ruiz Ibanez.
The presentation, which took place at the rectory of the educational institution has been attended by the Councillor for Culture of Murcia, Magdalena Ortiz, who underlined the importance for the municipality to host an event of this size and significance.
During the ceremony, which was led by the coordinator of the Campus of Excellence Mare Nostrum (CMN), Pilar Garrido, have also intervened Director General for Research and Innovation, Celia Martinez, director of the Seneca Foundation, Antonio González in their capacity as associates.
