A doctoral thesis at the Faculty of Informatics, University of Murcia by María Victoria Moreno Cano has designed an intelligent management system in buildings that allow energy savings can reach 29 percent in some cases.
This research, which has been rated as outstanding cum laude, provides the location information of the occupants of the building, referred to their preferences in terms of control and participation and user interaction with the system.
As a result of experiments conducted within the work of the thesis, we noted how the system users changed their behavior associated with the use of conducting the building's infrastructure.
After a month of experimentation will be able to increase up to 29 percent energy savings.
For the author of the thesis, "has been demonstrated and validated the applicability and effectiveness of the proposed information management based on lot for energy efficiency in buildings intelligent system."
This scientific work was led by researchers at the University of Murcia Antonio Skarmeta and Miguel Angel Zamora.
