The project conceived in the Scientific Culture Unit of the University of Murcia "great scientists in hospitals Small" has been selected to launch precipitates a crowdfunding platform (crowdfunding) of science that launched the Spanish Foundation for Science and Technology, is intended to enable anyone to make an economic research project or scientific contributions disclosure.
All projects come from the platform centers or public groups in prestigious research and are characterized by their positive impact on society.
The initiative is led by Professor Department of Physics, University of Murcia Antonio Guirao Piñera, and is developed in collaboration with the Hospital Classrooms of the Region of Murcia.
It is one of the twelve original projects that the Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness selected to launch its collective precipitates science funding platform.
With this project Murcia becomes the only university that is part of the initial group of selected projects on crowdfunding platform, although Murcia is also involved in this launch with a second project "more fertile and less polluting Campos "developed by cebas-CSIC.
Bringing science to hospitalized children
The initiative aims to bring science to hospitalized children through workshops and experiments, and help your hospital stay is as smooth and exciting as possible using science as a resource.
The project is aimed at children between 4 and 12 years who are hospitalized in the Region of Murcia.
The workshops scientific experiments in physics, chemistry, biology, math and technology with an interactive approach are performed.
