The UCAM Racing Team is now finalizing the details of the prototype which will participate in the Solar Race held in Murcia this weekend (17 to 19 October).
About thirty teams take part in this competition in different categories.
The UCAM vehicle is an electric car powered by solar energy via a lithium ion battery and an electric motor controlled by a circuit designed by the students and teachers who participated in the project.
Rafael Melendreras, director of the Engineering Degree in Telecommunication Systems, highlighted some of the new elements in the UCAM Racing Team for this year: "We have a telemetry system has been designed in a Final Project Work in college and has distinctions obtained., we are integrating telemetry system in Google Glass for the pilot receives in glasses warnings about their safety. It is an important technological innovation. Nobody until now had designed an application of this nature and so we turned to awards for technological innovation of Solar Race ".
