These committees will meet in the coming days to set a work schedule and appoint the chairman of each.
Similarly, the meeting served to establish the three issues that come up for debate in the relevant working groups: the tramway to Carmen, the AVE and the burial and a socioeconomic dynamic Township Plan.
The Council becomes a channel for citizen participation in matters affecting municipal life, so far developed through sector councils that had been operating in the city to ensure the presence of associations and groups in the municipality in matters that concern them.
Environment, mobility, transport, social welfare, culture, energy, youth, school board, traffic, or equal cooperation are some areas in which citizen participation is structured based councils or commissions.
This unifying body is advisory and its functions is to issue reports and studies on local economic development, strategic planning of the city and major urban projects.
It also provides a forum for dialogue and channel more representative participation of the Municipal Corporation, plus advice social agents.
