IU MEP Javier Couso has submitted two questions to the European Parliament on the dredging of the River Segura and speed train project in the municipality of Murcia area.
Paths works, which are funded from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), have a similar problem regarding the absence of the required environmental assessment as a result of "substantial change" that has occurred with respect to the initial projects .
In the case of dredging, initially planned treatment sludge being extracted from the river bed, but the project has been modified and now being dumped untreated into meandering there in the town downstream.
Regarding the project intends to tender ADIF in the coming days for the arrival of the AVE surface, IU recalled that also require a new environmental assessment on the one held in 2009, to modify the conditions for the entry of the train Murcia which were initially in the fully buried the train.
