IU-Greens Murcia will start a round of visits to neighborhoods and districts of the municipality in order to explain the role played by the councilors and members of the training in this term, and solicit proposals for inclusion in its election manifesto.
Responsible for IU-Greens have stated in a press release that the goal is to serve as a participatory process to develop the basis of a new city model where priorities "are not in the hands of private companies."
The cornerstones of the new program will be the defense of public services;
improving public transport and intermodality;
employment and green jobs;
heritage protection and democratization of public life, with special emphasis on the promotion of community involvement in municipal boards.
From IU-Greens will also fight to end corruption generated by "this predator model."
"Citizenship requires a new relationship with the government where they can access information and participate directly in decision-making," stated the sources, after noting that municipal boards are essential to that process instrument.
This process, which will begin in the coming days and aims to have the first draft outline for December, with the participation of social movements and citizens.
