Councilman Traffic and Transportation, Javier Iniesta, presented the mobile app Mutrans in Eurocities Mobility Forum 'Smart mobility for people and businesses' which was held this week in Venice
Javier Iniesta presented the application to Cristian Mutrans Specht, deputy mayor of the German city of Mannheim and President of Eurocities Mobility Forum and other officials of the Department of Transportation in Venice.
This presentation was made as part of the thematic sessions in which the CEO of Venice Mobility has unveiled its plan for sustainable urban mobility.
So, Murcia has excelled in this forum have an application to complete and innovative mobility and the search paths Mutrans works by giving preference to more media friendly transport environment and advising on the amount of CO2 emitted by each one of the options.

This application has been funded by the Directorate General for Transport and Energy under the project Mobisec only works with innovative projects in the field of urban transport and encourage intermodality that are exportable to other cities in Europe as an example of good practice .
The main functionality provided by the application is querying from point of origin to point of destination and get results based on travel time and environmental impact, including combining transfers between different transports.
This action is part of the European project MOBISEC, 50% funded by the European Commission, led by the city of Murcia.
In MOBISEC project is also underway to improve road safety for cyclists in the town, by acting on critical issues such as roundabouts and installing closed cycle stand to complement the capillary network of urban transport those areas that have better use typology for urban bike mobility.
