Jose Luis Mendoza made ​​the call during the welcome ceremony for new students Capacitas program

Faced with an auditorium full of young people with great enthusiasm and desire to work, has started welcoming ceremony for the students of Capacitas program, one of the initiatives undertaken by the Chair 'Montoro German for the social inclusion of people with intellectual disabilities' created by the Catholic University of Murcia and Gmp Foundation.

The event was attended by students who have already started the program last year and during this course will practice in companies;

and twelve students who begin their training this course.

The event also involved the president of the UCAM, José Luis Mendoza;

the rector of the University, Josefina García Lozano;

Director of the Chair, Maria del Mar Pintado, and executive director of the Foundation Gmp, Francisco Fernández López.

The University President expressed his satisfaction by the fruit it is giving this program now in its third year, and took the opportunity to encourage employers to hire people with disabilities.

Capacitas

The Capacitas Program offers people with intellectual disabilities the very title of the Technical University in Business and Socio activities and the possibility of entering the workforce.

The objectives of this program, which runs for two academic years and includes a quarter of work experience in companies from different sectors are the awareness of employers and job prospecting.

The program has qualified in the areas of pedagogy and psychology, along with job coaches teachers.

Adequate academic training with a strategy known as insertion Supported employment facilitates access to the labor market of these people, in the best conditions.
