Today Monday, September 29, at 18.15 pm in the Lecture Hall of Antonio Soler de la Merced, will be the opening of the course 2014-2015 Classroom Debate.
The theme for this first debate will be "The electoral system of direct election of mayors."
Speakers members of the Spanish delegation to the CMUDE.
It will be followed by a panel discussion on "The University debate in Spain."
Moderator: David Morillas, Dean of the Faculty of Law, University of Murcia.
Speakers: Francisco Valiente, José Manuel Bermúdez García Mateos and
Classroom Debate The main purpose is to develop communication skills of college students and getting to know groups of people express themselves with confidence and credibility.
It promotes various activities, including training of basic techniques taught by expert dialogue and discussion and debate among academics, in which arguments of an academic nature will be confronted by two groups of students.
Other topics to be covered during this course will be "law and policy in the process of Catalan independence", "The electoral system for the election of mayors," and "The university debate in Spain."
Holding training courses were also announced: "The model of scholarly debate" and "The model of Parliamentary Debate"
