Until next Friday will be held different activities and workshops that will affect the importance of prevention in cardiovascular disease.
6,500 people participated last year in the first edition.
For the second year, Murcia celebrates Heart Week which is held in the city until Friday, Day 3, and has been presented this morning by the Mayor, Miguel Ángel Cámara, Dr. Domingo Pascual, president of the Murcia Society Cardiology, and the head of the pharmacy network of the College of Pharmacists of Murcia, Juana Morales, with the presence of the Councillor for Social Welfare and Health, María del Carmen Pelegrin.
Organized by the Spanish Heart Foundation (ESF), along with the Murcia Society of Cardiology and the City Council, has the collaboration of the Spanish Society of Cardiology (SEC), the delegation of Murcia of the Spanish Association of Nursing Cardiology Patients Association Heart Prorehabilitación AMURECAR, the College of Pharmacists of Murcia and the Network Pharmacy and Murcia association Bike and Omron.
The initiative, which is part of the World Heart Day, focuses on the importance of prevention and health promotion to cardiovascular disease.
Following the success of last year, this second edition offers important new features, highlighting the collaboration with the College of Pharmacists to launch the "Cardioprotegida Murcia City" project, which aims to create a program to improve care for cardiac arrest based on pharmacy network, thus bringing the citizens of Murcia attention on this vital urgency.
Moreover, a route organized morning bike along with Murcia Association will be held in Bike, remembering that exercise training is health.
On Wednesday and Thursday will be two panel discussions: "Is one cardiosaludable- Murcia city" and "Learning to be an outpatient."

To complete the week, a stand will be installed in the Plaza de Santo Domingo on 2 and 3 October, which will be carried out free activities making stress, weight / height and body mass measurement.
It collaborating Cardiac Nursing Association and Tobacco Unit of the City of Murcia, which also provide information on cardiovascular disease prevention in the areas of exercise and healthy eating.
During the presentation of this II Heart Week Mayor, Miguel Ángel Cámara, all Murcia transferred to the invitation to attend and participate in events to be held these days and recalled that in the edition held last year near 6,500 people approached them.
Specifically, over 5,000 people visited the stand, 1,200 participated in the Healthy Route 300 attended the roundtables organized.
Healthy Attitude
The Department of Health has identified obesity as the first public health problem of the municipality, the public offering various programs of nutrition and exercise to help get citizens to adopt healthy lifestyles, primarily through a feed and regular physical activity.
Regarding the latter, it is worth noting that more than 100,000 people play sports in the network of municipal facilities, either through various programs or by rental system centers.
The Plan unfolds through social centers for the elderly, women, education, municipal, health, and social service dining rooms and meals on wheels.
Among the programs to promote physical activity include 4/40 Program, consisting of the creation of groups of citizens protected by a monitor for physical exercise (walking 4 days / 40 minutes) in their immediate environment (neighborhood or hamlet );
Activates Program, which provides exercise prescription by primary care physicians for patients who require both pathologies corresponding medication and physical activity;
Patient or School, which regulates the conduct of courses for groups with a profile of need to address the comprehensive management of obesity.
As for the food and nutrition program, the City encourages workshops Food and Nutrition (aimed at primary and secondary; associations of parents, elders and women);
programs "Health and Senses", aimed at groups of school children, women and elderly, including "Cooking without my parents";
the Food and Nutrition counseling in school cafeterias;
or Sensocole Program, which introduces the assessment of sensory perception in the development of menus.
