More than twenty ONG'Ds the municipality participate from today until Saturday Cooperating Fair, which is installed in the Plaza de Santo Domingo for the sixth consecutive year.
The Councillor for Equality Policies and Development Cooperation, directed Alicia Barquero, explained that it seeks to highlight the work of these organizations and Murcia society aware of the importance of volunteering and the need to help poorest countries.
Barquero was accompanied by the Director General of Social Policy, Veronica Lopez;
and Regional Representative Thomas Violante.
This fair has been held since 2009 and was Councilman Remigio Lopez who created this gathering for ONG'Ds.
The Cooperation Day, which was observed on September 8, recognizes the efforts of more than 1,400 Spaniards working in the most disadvantaged areas of the Earth.
Coincides with the Millennium Declaration of the United Nations where 189 Heads of State committed themselves to the Millennium Development Goals.
The Fair will be open Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 12.00 to 14.00 hours and from 18.00 to 21.00.
