Students 9-15 years may demonstrate their skills in building and operating a robot at the International Robotics Competition World Robot Olympiad (WRO), held on October 4 at the Mall of El Corte English and hipercor the Tyre and organized by the Antonio de Nebrija de Murcia College, with support from the Department of Education of the City of Murcia.
Participants will have two categories, elementary 9 to 12, and junior high, 13 to 15 years and must solve a scientific challenge with the help of Lego Mindstorms robot.
The WRO is a team challenge.
To participate you must be part of a group consisting of a manager and two or three participants.
The competition consists of an initial phase of installation and programming, with a duration of two hours;
qualifying rounds (depending on the number of registered participants) and end at accessing the top ranked in the qualifying rounds.
The controller (Intelligent Brick), motors and sensors used to assemble the robots must be the LEGO Mindstorms line.
You can also use the search HiTechnic IR sensor and HiTechnic compass sensor.
No modified material is permitted.
Additional parts of the robot can be built with any element of the LEGO brand LEGO pieces using education is recommended.
Participants may not use screws, glue or tape to adjust the components of their robots.

Within the promotional events of this activity will be making a series of free workshops on robotics on 18, 19, 25 and 26 in The Mall Shot to learn to build and program a robot.
