Again, the Cathedral of Murcia was too small to house the thousands of faithful who wanted to accompany the Virgin of Fuensanta on the day of your solemnity.
At 11:45 hours the cloistered procession began the patron saint of the city of Murcia, acclaimed between living and cheers, after which began the Eucharist, presided by the Bishop of Cartagena, Mons. José Manuel Lorca Planes.
Again, the bishop presented the needs of the people before their patron Murcia, which is "the holy fountain that leads to Christ," remembering, specially of those suffering and drought in the fields of Murcia: "How many times have we submitted our needs and our loved ones."
The bishop stressed the qualities of the Virgin Mary, the first Christian to be a role model because he did God's will;
because I knew how to listen and because it is a symbol of hope and humility.
"Let us ask Mary the courage and bravery to be able to say it: 'Here I am, Lord, to do your will."
Mons. Lorca preside morning Eucharist at 7:00 pm in the Cathedral, after which the Virgin of Fuensanta will be moved on pilgrimage to her shrine in Algezares.
