The publisher Academy of Hispanics has published the book "The collation of stories in the Narrative of Cervantes", by the professor of the University of Murcia Ana Luisa Baquero awarded the VIII International Award for Scientific Research and Criticism Miguel de Cervantes.

Baquero has detected that the technique of interleaving stories within a main plot is a constant at all times: in Greek and Latin novel was a frequent resource and also used in Western literature in the vernacular, in narrative genres of the Middle Ages and in the pastoral novel.
After Cervantes, in most picaresque novels stories that are unrelated to this realist poetics of the first frame of the rogue or rogue appear.
"Therefore, we can say that this technique did not involve a shock to the reader the time," says the professor.
