Murcia City Council is committed to the service of public attention in the street at night and is working to be resumed.
The budget for 2014 includes an appropriation for this service and the purpose was the renewal of the company two years.
Since the entry into force of the Act and Sustainability Streamlining Local Government this service can not continue to be performed by the Department of Jobs, Enterprise and Trade and should be the Department of Social Welfare to take charge.
Councilman Employment, Business and Commerce, José María Tortosa, confident that in late 2014 or early 2015 will again offer this service, which could reach more areas.
Tortosa emphasized that from the beginning has been informed of the situation to the company and employees, so they know first hand all the steps that are being taken.
Citizen Information Service in the street at night has 52 employees and is provided in the central region of Murcia, El Carmen and the districts of El Palmar and Los Garres Sucina.
Tortosa stressed neighbors satisfaction with this service, which from 1 January to 30 June 2014 has conducted 27,828 performances, mainly reporting on trades, location of offices of the local police, chemists, lead persons distitnas directions, and reporting on hospital health emergencies, etc.
