The municipal educational programs for municipal school, Primary, Middle and High School have come during the course 2013/2014 to 66,600 students.
Activities, workshops and visits the City proposed are complementary to the content, using the city as a teaching resource, and making visits to both institutions and public and private groups.
The program is offered free of charge to all 187 schools in the municipality of Murcia, with 73,416 pupils aged between 3 and 18 years.
They have participated 182 schools (98%) and 66,599 students (90.71%) in 2,832 activities have been proposed.
The activities take place along with other municipal services, public institutions and private entities, and are accompanied by training material.
Among the proposals offered are nature activities and environment, expression and communication (visits representations Municipal Halls and Theatres), science, museum visits (Salzillo, Archaeological, Ethnological, Fine Arts, Science and Water), consumption (visit Mercamurcia supplies and car), driver education and values ​​education, among many others.
In addition, the Department of Education, directed by María Dolores Sánchez offers science workshops and film screenings for children during Christmas holidays, with the assistance of 2,240 children;
and summer camps during the month of July with 300 seats.
Sanchez stressed the importance of these activities are more a tool for little ones to learn outside the classroom, aware of the resources offered by the city and learn to value them.
