Continue the process of modernization of the local police, following the premiere of its website and its jump to Twitter.
The Department of Safety goes a step further and open next September a section on the website http://policia.ayto-murcia.es where all lost items are kept now be displayed in local police and those that subsequently go delivering.
In this way those who go astray can check if an object has been found and so back.
The agents working in the office of citizen services use a webcam to take pictures and upload to the website in order to be received almost instantaneously, accompanied by the image of a small descriptive text.
The owner will have to show a bill, photograph or other documents that the object is from its membership.
The officers in charge of this service act as follows when received or an object is located:
- Preparation of a part in which the found object details, place and identifies the person who finds
- Preparation, and in the office, a register that is assigned a serial number and key documents, money or anything of value or importance is indicated.
- Try locating the owner of the phone or sending documents to the appropriate municipality if the owner is not the municipality.
- Visit to the address on the documents to report the finding
- Items received in local police custody are two years and then destroyed.
Official documents are forwarded to the administration that issued last time bequeath custody.
The money, to spend two years if the owner does not appear, is entered in the account of the City.

We have also received 58 inquiries regarding fines (27) on municipal ordinances (4) Pets Company (5) Objections (3) Lost 10 missing persons (2) and 7 other subjects.
Regarding Twitter, in about eight months, have issued a total of 1,154 tweets with relevant advice and news about police actions and events every day.
