All students of the University of Murcia who applied to participate in the Erasmus program + will have the opportunity to have a scholarship, despite the cuts made by the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport and the European Union.
This indicates in writing that the rector, José Orihuela, has been sent to the university community, in which he congratulated the Vice President for Coordination and Internationalization, directed by Professor Bernardo Cascales, and International Relations from the measures taken in recent days to get it.
Thanks to these efforts, we have obtained the collaboration of the Autonomous Community, which, together with Banco Santander finance and equity at the University, will enable applicants have the support necessary to participate in the exchange program .
The situation created by the cuts made was exhibited at the meeting of the Governing Council of this educational institution held last Thursday, in which he reported that only had awarded scholarships to 400 students of the mobility for studies, 700 who had requested.
As applicants for mobility grants for practices, numbering 150, only 77 had been awarded grants.
Therefore, funding is needed for those not covered, now, the release of Orihuela, thanks to the efforts of all parties has been resolved.
