The San Antonio Catholic University of Murcia given, from October, a master's degree designed to train professionals in the field of sports communication, both for the media and for all institutions and companies whose work is developed in sports.
"Being better trained to report is transcendental," said Julián Redondo, president of the Spanish Sports Press Association, an organization that supports this very title, plus fruit UCAM agreements with the Spanish Olympic Committee (COE) and the League Professional Football (LFP).
The faculty of the Master consists of teachers UCAM and a roster of prestigious speakers and proven professional experience in the field of sports journalism and corporate communication of sport professionals to José Luis Mendoza, president of the UCAM, noted for their "teaching quality" as well to remember that part of "the first faculty of Spain in initial the accreditation of their titles by ANECA".

An innovative master
In total, the university will offer a total of 30 seats, in order to ensure quality education and care tailored to the needs of these future sports journalists.
In this first edition of the Master in Sports Journalism Online, students will acquire the necessary keys to communicate everything about the world of sports: current training techniques and game analysis of biological and physical bases of athletes, regulations, use of jargon ... Similarly, students will acquire the skills that allow them to dominate the media (traditional newspapers, radio, television and digital media) as they learn to develop programs for sports information, content or narrate manage sporting events.
The Masters in Sports Journalism UCAM includes among its contents all aspects in which the practice of this discipline specific and is aimed at both graduates qualifications Communication Sciences as a graduate in Science of Physical Activity and Sport and INEF.
They are recipients of this title working professionals linked to sport or holding positions in sports organizations.
The Masters will start in autumn this year and will last for one academic year, so that will end in June 2015. Formation will be completely online except for the optional attendance at masterclasses and presentation of the Master's Thesis.
Note that the members of the Spanish Sports Press Association, the Association of Journalists of the Region of Murcia and the other member associations of the Federation of Associations of Journalists in Spain enjoy a 10% discount on the total amount enrollment.
