The Director General of Education Centres, María Dolores Valcárcel, this morning visited Murcia districts of La Nora and Stables, in which the Ministry of Education, Culture and Universities has invested in the past five years a total of EUR 499,392.66 works for the refurbishment and extension of the six schools serving these two districts.
The last of these improvement works planned for this summer is the enclosure of a porch to expand the cafeteria at the Centre for Education and Primary Step of Our Lady of La Nora, in which the Ministry of Education will invest 16,865, 31 euros.
During his visit, the general director of Educational Institutions was accompanied by the village headman of La Nora, Jesus Aliaga, and Stables, Francisco Zamora, in addition to representatives of the management of schools.
"Our goal is to show the greatest sensitivity to the educational needs of students studying in districts to ensure they receive academic education they deserve," said Maria Dolores Valcárcel.
Stables has three centers and Primary Education San Juan Bautista, Santa Isabel and San José de Calasanz-and Secondary School IES-Alquerías housing more than 1,600 students.
One of them, the CEIP San Juan Bautista, is involved in the strategy '+ languages' of the Ministry of Education to promote bilingualism among school children in the region.
La Nora, meanwhile, has two centers and Primary Education in which they study a total of 494 students: Our Lady of the CEIP Step and CES Cipriano Galera.
