Some of the most emblematic of the city of Murcia spaces fill color again today with the celebration of different activities of the International Folklore Festival in the Mediterranean, which began last Monday, July 14.

At 20 hours, in Santo Domingo, "Come dance with us."

Performance of the groups: Group Baku Buta (Azerbaijan), Avenida de la Libertad;

National Artistic and Benin (Republic of Benin).

At 22 hours in the Plaza del Cardenal Belluga: Opening session of the Festival.

Performance groups: Songs and Dances of Murcia RA Francisco Salzillo (Murcia), Dances and Traditions Association Tiquicia Group (Costa Rica), Monteverde Folklore Group of Funchal - Madeira (Portugal), Provincial Dances Palencia Group, Company Argentina Folk Art General Roca (Argentina) and performance of Joaquín Molina Quini (guitar), Homage to Paco de Lucía.

The International Folklore Festival in the Mediterranean, declared of Regional Tourist Interest, is celebrating its forty-seventh edition, which makes it the longest of all the festivals that are celebrated not only in the city of Murcia and Murcia but also throughout the Spanish state.

Exhibitions, workshops, concerts, parades, folklore groups and a seminar on folklore and ethnography sessions accompany the festival, which will take place in the Plaza del Cardenal Belluga.

The poster for the 47th edition of the International Folklore Festival in the Mediterranean has been made based on a photographic image of the festival itself, written by Juan Vicente Gil.

Yesterday afternoon was the traditional torch lighting Friendship and flag raising at the Plaza Romea, where all participants in this year group gathered after the parade through the streets of the city of Murcia.
